Touchdown

Touchdown in L.A. - 4 hours before I left according to the clock (thank you international dateline), but feeling like the 14 hours flight took 40 hours. A capacity-packed flight, extremely turbulent in places (especially when passing over the Vanuatu region - probably the worst turbulence I've ever felt - I was lucky the guy next to me spilled his beer all over himself and not me!) and airline service and food that could best be described as 'indifferent' (maybe I've been spoiled regularly flying Cathay Pacific of late).

An early arrival inevitably means a wait for a hotel room...so here I wait.....and wait....
